Breakfast and respite from the heat at our favourite spot, Loong Fong cafe. Iced Teh O or C, Kaya puffs and toast, black sesame and peanut butter paste, nasi lemak, fried mantou and chicken curry…

Dinner at our local hawker spot with different food stalls and the seniors karaoke community centre. Heartwarming!

Night time walks along Lee and Tan jetties, lined with Chinese labourers’ homes with lanterns and the lights of Butterworth on the mainland.
